CCRZ is a Swiss design consultancy with interdisciplinary competences that include art direction, graphic and exhibition design, communication strategies and visual identity. Research and a conceptual approach to the project are central values to the studio, which considers design as a functional tool to convey the quality of any message.
Among its clients, CCRZ counts cultural institutions, public bodies and private companies. The studio engages in focused relationships with its customers, developing solutions that are tailored to the specificity of each client and managing a wide range of projects, from simple to complex, with equal attention.
The study, founded and directed by Eugenio Castiglioni, Paolo Cavalli and Marco Zürcher, is organized in two operational offices in Switzerland and Italy. It currently employs a team of ten people with complementary skills. The studio has earned an international reputation and has won several awards.
The studio CCRZ’s Swiss branch is situated in the extreme South of Ticino in the geological Park of the Breggia Gorge, a few kilometres from the town of Chiasso and the border with Italy. The mill that houses the studio’s operative space since 2007 was built in late 1800 to serve as an industrial complex for the processing of kicks. It was transformed into a watercraft propellers workshop during the early eighties by engineer Philippe Rolla, who oversaw the careful architectural requalification with the collaboration of architects Michael Dolinski and Paolo Brambilla.
The Italian branch of the studio CCRZ is in Anzano del Parco in the province of Como, in a central position between Lecco, Bergamo and Milan. The seventeenth-century building, of which CCRZ oversaw the restoration, is situated in the oldest nucleus of the town.
