The Interior Design project of the editorial staff office is part of a larger project of architectural redevelopment and reorganization of the RSI Campus in Comano (Ticino) and which involved Studio CCRZ in the artistic direction for the interior architecture spaces as the future Radio studios and a large reception area. The design of the editorial office, open since 2023, is structured on the two floors of the new EST building in the Campus. The spaces can accommodate more than 250 workstations and includes two relaxation areas, meeting rooms, discretionary rooms, etc. Finding the right balance between co-working and privacy and between rationality and home-inspired comfort were the main intents of the project. We took the existing central concrete core and transformed it into a large equipped wooden box that could accommodate not only service spaces, but also compartments and special functions. For the remaining workstations areas and circulation spaces, we maintained a concept of open space, while the perimeter windows allow to enjoy the natural light.
